From the Architect:

The existing cottage was renovated to create a new kitchen, dining and living spaces separated by a solid fuel stove. A new timber-clad extension creates an ‘L’ shaped form facing the Southernly views. A new glazed element connects the extension to the existing cottage. This area forms a boot room and utility room and acts as the main entrance to the house and provides access to the patio. The extension is the bedroom wing, with three bedrooms and an upstairs mezzanine space.
