A new home incorporating a dynamic contemporary new build element which dramatically contrasts with its twin element, the restoration and conservation of an 18th century flax mill. The new build element periscopes above a small valley to scoop in sunlight & offer views out for the living accommodation. Bedrooms are to be located within the restored Flaxmill below, umbilically linked together by a snaking bridge.
