From the Architect:

The house embraces a future-proof approach to living including options for sub-division, separate adult/teenager zones and also includes a lift shaft for a single person lift, should a necessity arise in the future. The internal spaces have been intentionally set-out to enable teenage families to grow older together.

Aim’s principal design philosophy was to encourage a seamless interaction of internal and external spaces at every opportunity. To enable spaces to physically spill out into the garden and river, as well as garden spaces to become part of living areas. The house had to be a forever house.
